Green Horizons
Science and Innovation Park
Green Horizons Science and Innovation Park will be a leading European centre for innovation in mobility related industries. It aims to be the first science and innovation park designed from the ground up to be carbon negative, delivering an outstanding, truly sustainable environment for innovative businesses to develop new solutions in the sector.
Luton’s industrial heritage in Motor Manufacturing, Aviation Services and Aerospace are well known, and consequent capabilities in precision engineering and small and large scale manufacturing are second to none. Well-known names such as GKN Aerospace, EasyJet and Wizz, and less well known but thriving local business such as Jaltek Engineering and 3i Solutions – who are pioneering AI and virtual reality – are thriving in and committed to Luton. And next year, Stellantis start producing electric Luton vans here.
Green Horizons’ primary focus will be supporting businesses in their scale-up phase, providing a mix of accommodation and support services to accelerate growth and transform ideas into fully realised products and services.
At the heart of the Golden Triangle
Green Horizons is an incredible location for business, positioned at the heart of the ‘Golden Triangle’ – the region that has attracted the most inward investment in Europe and become a global centre for a range of expanding high-tech industries.
From Luton, central London can be reached in just 30 minutes by train, the UK motorway network is easily accessible via the M1, and Europe is on your doorstep from the expanding airport with over 100 destinations daily.
Currently at masterplanning stage, Green Horizons is aimed at investors and occupiers that want to be part of market- leading sustainable development that makes a positive multi-generational impact on the local community.
A catalyst for transformational growth, Green Horizons will create thousands of jobs in Luton and the wider region, many of them highly skilled.
Green Horizons is another exciting development in Luton’s wider transformation: the Town Centre Masterplan, the new football stadium, the potential airport expansion and the recent opening of the Luton DART are already having an impact, making Luton an exciting place to live, work and invest.
And the numbers from 2023 show that Luton was the second fastest growing town in the UK.
