A Hallowe’en treat: Griffin Players join Luton DART for spooky fun

Luton DART, the innovative airport shuttle service, celebrated its first Hallowe’en in style by partnering with local drama group Griffin Players and enlisting the creative talents of media students from Barnfield College.

The result was a spine-tingling, fun-filled extravaganza that delighted passengers and showcased the unique spirit of the Luton DART experience.

In the lead-up to the annual celebration, a talented team of seasoned actors from Griffin Players donned iconic Addams Family costumes to bring an eerie charm to Luton DART Parkway station and seamless transfer to London Luton Airport.

Passengers were treated to themed activities, including bewitching dances set to spooky music both in the station and aboard the three-minute journey. As passengers embarked, the iconic DART bridge was illuminated with enchanting orange lights, adding an extra layer of mystique.

The magic of the occasion was captured through the lens of budding media students from Barnfield College, including Amira Chowdhury, Damola Oelbaum, Adil Setna, and Amelia Curran.

Cllr Javeria Hussain, Chair of Luton Rising, the Luton Council company that owns London Luton Airport for community benefit, said: “The enthusiasm and creativity of Griffin Players and Barnfield students made the Luton DART’s first Hallowe’en event truly memorable and reflected the high standards we always want to bring to the passenger experience on their journey between train and plane.”

Griffin Players’ family pantomime Snow White comes to Luton Library Theatre in December, with a strictly adult-themed pantomime to follow in January. For more information visit thegriffinplayers.co.uk
