Life-changing support for people with brain injuries
Headway Luton is one of the hundreds of community organisations to which Luton Rising has contributed around £180m in total over the last 25 years. Headway supports around 250 people who have an acquired brain injury, providing a wide range of quality care and personal support so they can live their fullest lives.
Over the years, Headway Luton has expanded significantly, employing approximately 18 staff members and offering support to around 250 individuals, along with their families and caregivers in Luton, Leighton Buzzard, and nearby areas.
They aim to provide a comprehensive range of quality care and personalised support to adults aged 18 and above who have sustained a brain injury. This includes extending support, advocacy, and advice related to brain injury to clients, their families, and caregivers across various communities within Luton and its surrounding areas.
Headway works to assist clients in achieving as much independence as possible and in reaching their maximum potential. This involves enhancing their personal skills and fostering opportunities for social interaction. They offer a variety of educational, cognitive, and social activities that meet the unique needs of each client.
